Head
coach of the local Black Stars Maxwell Konadu has responded to critics on his
team about the fact that the team is not able to score more goals in the
ongoing CHAN tournament saying he will prefer to score 1 goal and concede non
than to score 10 and concede 9.
The
coach said in a pre-match conference for the Ghana-Nigeria game on Wednesday
evening. The Black Stars prior to their game against Nigeria had only managed
to score 4 goal and conceded 1 making Ghana being described as having the best
defense so far in the tournament, whiles Nigeria had scored 12 goals and
conceded 8 making Stephen Keshi’s men the
best attacking team so far in the competition.
However
Ghana on Wednesday night thrashed Nigeria 4-1 on penalties to advance to the
finals of the 2014 CHAN tournament.
