“SULLEY IS A DISGRACE TO ZONGO COMMUNITY"-ALHAJI GRUZAH

Ace football Administrator Alhaji Karim Gruzah has tagged Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari as a “disgrace to the Zongo community” after the 28 year old AC Milan man was alleged to have engaged in a burst up with Ghana Football Association Executive Committee member Moses Armah Parker at the team’s camp prior to the final group game against Portugal.

During a back and forth confrontation between the Medeama owner and Sulley Muntari, “Sulley, who overly got furious over Moses Parker’s comment on an issue they were discussing, rushed on the Medama bankroller and punched him on the face”. Muntari as a result of his misconduct was given an indefinite suspension by the Ghana FA.

But Gruzah who is the bankroller and owner of Kumasi-based King Faisal and also belong the same religion with Muntari has lashed-out at the 28 year old describing him as a “disgrace to the Zongo community”.

“Sulley has really disappointed us. His father played football in Ghana and he never received a red card. He played for Susubribi and Kumasi Asante Kotoko. He never got himself in any misconduct. Sulley has not only disgraced himself but he has disgraced the entire Zongo community. He is a boy who was raised up in a Zongo community playing the national team”, Gruzah noted.

“He has fans in Zongo but for now everyone is furious with him because of what he did. What he did was total disgrace. Is all because of indiscipline. And when a player is indiscipline he does anything he wants. It will really help if we even suspend him totally just like the French did to Cantona”.

“Sulley’s family is very calm. His father is very calm and humble and it helped him a lot in his playing days. In fact he has really disgraced we the Zongo’s”.

Muntari missed out in Ghana’s 2-1 loss to Portugal in the final group game on Thursday alongside fellow Black Stars team-mate Kevin-Prince Boateng who was also dismissed from the Stars camp after a verbal assault on head Coach James Kwasi Appiah.
