BLACK QUEENS LEAVE FOR OUGADUGOU TO PLAY BURKINA FASO IN AFRICAN WOMEN CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER






SPORTS LOUNGE understands that the women senior national team, the Black Queens left Ghana on Wednesday afternoon to Ouagadougou to face their Burkina-be counterparts in the first League qualifier for the African women championships which will be slated later this year.

The Black Queens for the past weeks have been camping in Tamale (Northern Region) in other to acclimatize with the weather in Burkina Faso.

Ghana who failed to make it to the Championship for the first time 2years ago in Equatorial Guinea after they were eliminated by Cameroon on penalties in the final qualifier will be seeking a positive away result against Coach Adama Dembele’s side to make the reverse encounter in Accra on weekend of February 28th and March 2nd a mere formality.

The game is expected to take place at the Stade Du Aout in Ouagadougou on Saturday afternoon. 

Coach Yusif Basigi’s side will be seeking their 10th qualification to the continental competition to be staged in Namibia from October 11th -25th this year.
