PLAYERS ARE SABOTAGING ME-POLO

The head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Mohammed Polo says he believes some of the players in his set up are sabotaging him and that has resulted in the Club’s recent poor performance.

This came as a results of Hearts of Oak shocking 3-0 defeat to Wa All Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

The former Hearts of Oak player now coach of the side said most of the players especially the senior players do not report to training. He described the current Hearts of players as not being dedicated to the club. He said most of the players are not discipline.

“Am ok with the young once. But the old once, there are only few players that you can rely on. But the rest is just a fashion and is not going to help Hearts. If you want your future you have to train and concentrate and don’t be allegiant to any coach at all. Not even me”.

“I am in my third month in hearts of Oak, if am right. And a had the complement of some of the senior players in the team when I started. I knew there was a problem before I came. The management spoke to the players before we went on break, but it seems it did not yield any results. When we started training we had about one month and in the first week we had a lot of complains. The senior players don’t come for training.  Second week, the same thing. Third week was even worse”.

“ Every player was complaining he was not feeling well. But I saw it was all fake. The only genuine players I can confidently say they were injured was captain Moro Abubakar and Thomas Abbey. The rest are fake. But you have no option but to use the ones available because those are the registered players. If they come this week and don’t come the next week you don’t have any option done to manage it like that".

" Even when I called the selection for the game, some of the senior players were not happy. They played as if there is nothing, and even that we created about five good chances to score but missed them all”.

Hearts lost back to back to Wa All Stars and are now forth on the log with 27 points. 7 point behind Leaders Asante Kotoko who has 34 points and an outstanding game.

More to come…….
