BRIEF PROFILE OF RABIU MOHAMMED






Mohammed Rabiu Alhassan (born 31 December 1989) is currently playing  for Russian Premier League club FC Kuban Krasnodar, and the Ghana national team.

He began his youth career with Liberty professionals in the Ghanaian top flight. He was signed by Gimnàstic on 31 January 2008 from Liberty, at age 18and played for 6 months before leaving the club to Xerez CD.  He then moved to Italian side before he joined Udinese Calcio, as the club borrowed the registration quota from Sampdoria.

On 4 August 2010, he trained at Évian Thonon Gaillard for a possible loan. On 28 June 2011, Évian achieving promotion to Ligue 1 in the 2010–11 season completed a five-year permanent deal for Rabiu.

International career

Rabiu represented the Black Satellites on international level, he played with the team in the qualifications for the 2009 African Youth Championship in Rwanda. In 2008, he was called up to the Black Stars squad ahead of the 2008 African Cup of Nations in Ghana, but failed to make the cut. He played for the Black Stars in the 2013 nations cup in South African. Rabiu loves to wear the number 13 shirt but has been assigned the number 17 at the 2014 World Cup. He will be making his debut appearance for Ghana at the World Cup. He has made 8 appearance for Ghana but has never scored.
