BRAZILIAN REFEREE TO HANDLE GHANA-GERMANY CLASH




FIFA has named 39 year old Brazilian referee Sandro Meira Ricci to handle Ghana’s second group game against Germany on Saturday at the Estádio Castelão in Fortaleza

The Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais born referee was the first referee in the world to validate a goal by means of the newly introduced goal line technology  when he handled his debut World Cup game between France and Honduras on June 15.

Ricci will however be assisted by fellow countrymen Emerson de Carvalho and Marcelo Van Gasse. While the forth official will be Victor Carrillo from Peru. The fifth official will be Rodney Aquino from Paraguay.
