WARIS, KP BOATENG FAIL TO TAKE PART IN BLACK STARS FIRST TRAINING SECTION IN BRAZIL




Duo Majeed Waris and Kelvin-Prince Boateng failed to take part in Ghana’s first training section at the Estadio Rei Pele in Maceio On Thursday afternoon.

Both players picked up slight injuries in Ghana’s final warm up game against South Korea on Monday in Miami. A game Ghana won 4-0.

Waris, 22, picked up a thigh injury and limped off just 4 minutes into the game, while Boateng on the other hand suffered a slight knock in the same game.

The medics have therefore given an assurance the two players will be fit and available for Ghana’s opening Group G game with the USA next Monday at the Estadio das Dunas in Natal.

Waris who will be making his debut appearance at the Mundial have been tipped by many as one of Ghana’s brightest talents to make  an impact in the World Cup tournament, while Boateng is expected to use his rich experience gain four year ago in South Africa to help the team better their quarter final berth.
