Ghanaian
midfielder Anthony Annan tasted his first game of the season when he came on as
a substitute for Schalke O4 in their champions League game against Real Madrid
at the Santiago Benebau on Tuesday night.
The 27 year
old midfielder came on in the 80th min for Kaan Ayhan but could do
little to help Jens Keller’s men avoid a 3-1 defeat to the Los Blancos.
Annan who
returned from a loan spell with Spanish side Osasuna prior to the start of the
2013/2014 season had been battling with injuries and has caused him his place
in the Ghana Black Stars team.
