After seeing of Korea DPR and Germany respectively, the Black Maidens will be eyeing a third straight win to maintain their 100% record when they come up against Canada in the final group game at the Estadio Ricardo Saprissa Ayma, Tibas on Saturday.

The Maidens who began their campaign with a 2-0 win over 2008 winners North Korea before sealing qualification to the next round with a 1-0 win over European Champions Germany will be hoping to make it three out of three.

Ghana coach Evans Adotey who is aiming to go a step further beyond the bronze medal might be tempted to rest most of his key players in the final group game ahead of their quarter final clash with the runner up of Group A which might eventually be Venezuela or Italy.

12 year old Fuseina Mumuni who is arguably the youngest player in the tournament might earn her debut game on Saturday.

Meanwhile Canada head coach Beverly Priestman has indicated her team’s determination to get one past the Black Maidens to ensure qualification to the next round.

The Canucks of Canada will be holding their destiny in their own hands as they dropped maximum points in their two opening games drawing 2-2 with Germany and 1-1 with the Korea DPR.

Ghana is top of Group B with 6 points whiles Canada lie second with 2 points. With Germany and Korea occupying the 3rd and 4th position with one point each.
The game will kick off at exactly 17:00GMT (11pm local time).
