REVIEW: WEEK 20 OF FIRST CAPITAL PREMIER LEAGUE




Week 20 of the first capital plus premier league came off over the weekend with some intriguing results. Five games were played recording a total of 12 goals in all.

On Saturday, relegation threatening Inter Allies beat Liberty professionals by 2-1 at the Tema Park. Malian import Niare Benogo and prosper Kasim got both goals for the debutants whiles Striker Micheal Appiah got the consolation for Liberty.

At the Kumasi Babayara Sports Stadium, league leaders Asante Kotoko maintained their dominance in the domestic top flight with a 4-1 humiliation to Ashanti Gold. Two goals from striker Seidu Bancey and a goal each from Micheal Akuffo and Ricahard Mpong ensured the porcupine warrior won all three points.

Elsewhere in Bekwai, a second half penalty goal by striker Stephen Manu won the game for New Edubiase who managed a 1-0 win over King Faisal at the Gyemfi Park.

In other games, Secondi Hasaacas beat  Kpondo Hearts of Lions 1-0 at the Essipong stadium. Thanks to an Emmanuel Ankobeah's 75th min goal.

Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak apiece their fans at home with a 3-0 win over Amidaus professionals at the Accra Sport Stadium.
