INTER ALLIES SEES OFF LIBERTY TO BUST CHANCES IN GHANA PREMIER LEAGUE

Premier League debutants Inter Allies beat Liberty professionals 2-1 on Saturday at the Tema Park to bust their chances in the First Capital Plus Premier League.

Inter Allies who before this game lied at the bottom of the table with just 17 points secured all three points after goals from Malian import Niare Benogo and Proper Kasim ensured they become victors of the day.

Inter Allais opened the scoring through Niare Benogo in the 38th min before striker Prosper Kasim added the second two min later to end the first half.

Back from recess, Liberty poured more men forward in search for the equalizer but the defenders of Inter Allies stood their grounds.

Liberty however got a consolation late in the game when striker Micheal Appiah slotted from close range in the 85th min but was too late to secure the Dansoman based side a point.

The win however pushes Inter Allies for the first time from the bottom to the 15th position with 20 points leaving Ebusua Dwarfs at the 16th position with 17 points and a game in hand.
