BRAZILIAN AMBASSADOR TO GHANA CAUTIONS GHANAIAN SOCCER FANS ON ECONOMIC SITUATION IN THE COUNTRY.

Brazilian Ambassador to Ghana, Her Excellency Irene Vida Gala has warned Ghanaian soccer fans who are planning to travel to Brazil for the World Cup and not return to Ghana to rescind their decision.

Madam Vida Gala who was speaking at last Saturdays SWAG Awards says the economy of Brazil is in shambles and would not be a haven to supporters who are thinking of settling in the country after the World Cup.

She says living standard is high, state of economy is poor and that makes her country not conducive to fans who might want to stay back after the competition.

“The Brazilian economy is really facing a lot of crisis. For the past few years the economy has been difficult for people living in Brazil, therefore I will like to take this opportunity to advice everybody travelling for the world cup to try and return back to his or her country as soon as the tournament is over, because the economic situation is not going to be of a favor”, she said.

Her Excellency Vida Gala also took time to explain to the media about the readiness of Brazil for next month’s World Cup.

“Brazil as a country is ready for the big tournament. The country is ready to host the rest of the World. And I promise this World Cup is going to be one of the memorable World Cups in history. Good luck to all the teams that will participate in the tournament”, she added.
The 2014 FIFA World Cup kicks starts from June 12 to July 13th.
