INJURY BLOW FOR GHANA’S WORLD CUP OPPONENT PORTUGAL AS RONALDO LIMP OFF

Portugal marksman Christiano Ronaldo limped off in Real Madrid 1-1 draw with Valladolid on Wednesday night at the Jose Zorrilla.

The 29 year old was taken off and replaced by Alvaro Morata in the 9th min after picking up a hamstring injury. The injury thus cast doubt on his participation in Madrid’s two remaining league games as well as the Champions League game with Athletico Madrid on May 24.

Ronaldo returned to the Madrid line-up for the first league of the Champions League semi final clash with Bayern Munich last month.

The current World footballer of the year will be hoping to make a quick return to help his country Portugal at the World Cup.
