Kotoko began their campaign on a poor note by losing all two games in day one
of the ongoing Blue Stars/Fifa Youth Cup in Zurich on Wednesday.
The Youth
team of the Porcupine warriors lost 3-0 to Portuguese side Benfica in their
opening game before losing 1-0 to FC Zurich in their second game of the day.
Kotoko now
face Swiss side FC Sion and Atletico from Brazil tomorrow to complete their
group matches. The Blue Stars/Fifa Youth Cup is organized by Fifa every year to
enable various scouts around the World spot talents.
The
tournament has produced some of the World’s biggest football stars such as the reigning
World footballer of the year Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Kaka, Iker
Casillas, Ryan Giggs, J.J Okocha etc.
