BLACK STARLETS GAIN WALK OVER AFTER SOUTH SUDAN REDRAWAL

The national under 17 male soccer team [Black Starlets] gained a walk over to the final round of qualifiers for next year’s African U-17 championships after their opponents South Sudan pulled out of the competition.

Ghana who received a by in their first round of qualifiers against Kenya following the central African’s redrawal from the competition now awaits the winner between Cameroon and Burkina Faso in the final round of the qualifiers.

The winner over both legs will reach the final of the Championship to be staged in Niger next year.

Paa Kwasi Fabin who guided the team to the 2013 edition of the competition in Morocco will be hoping to make amends after his side’s abysmal performance at the championship when they failed to qualify out of the group stages.
