PRINCESSES COMPLETE WARM UP GAMES WITH STUNNING 3-1 VICTORY OVER BURLINGTON BAYHAWKS FC



The Black Princesses of Ghana yesterday wrapped up their warm games in Canada with a stunning 3-1 victory over top Canadian female side Burlington Bayhawks FC.

The Princesses who have been preparing themselves with friendly games ahead of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Canada  beat their counterparts in front of the delight of the home crowd who turned up to watch the game at the Norton Community Park in Alton Village.

Goals from midfielders Edem Atovor, Priscilla Okyere and Rasheda Abdul Rahman ensured Bashiru Hayfords side thrush the Bayhawks U-21 side. 

The win over Bayhawks thus makes it two wins out of three games after beating G-S United 2-0 and drawing 1-1 with North Mississauga Panthers FC initially. 

The team will not play any more friendlies till they take on Canada in the opening game of the tournament on August 5 at the National Soccer Stadium in Toronto.

Ghana is drawn in group A with Canada, Finland and 2006 Champions Korea DPR.
