MUNTARI SCORES CONSOLATION IN MILAN’S 5-1 HUMILIATION TO MAN CITY




Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari got the consolation goal for his side AC Milan when they were walloped by Manchester City in a pre-season friendly at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday night.

Muntari who led his side onto the pitch after he was given the arm band by his head coach Felipo Inzargi scored in the 42nd minute to make the score line 4-1 after early strikes from Jovetic, Sinclair,Navas and Nigerian teenager Kelechi Iheanacho had put City four goals up in the first 30 minutes.

The game which saw both managers rest key players however ended 5-1 in favor of the homesters[Manchester City].

The 28-year-old made way for Italian Riccardo Saponara in the 68th minutes. Fellow countryman Michael Essien also came on for Andrea Poli in the 46 minutes.
