Ghana midfielder
Derrick Boateng has completed a move to Spanish side Rayo Vallecano after the
31 year old doleful stint with English side Fulham last season.
Boateng had
a dreadful season with the Cottagers last season managing only four appearances
for the relegated side.
Boateng’s
luck of playing time in England saw him miss out of Coach Kwasi Appiah’s squad
to Brazil this term.
The hard tackler
however sealed a one year deal with the Madrid-based Club, alongside experience
Spanish center back Antonio Amaya from Real Batis.
The former
Dnipro player will be hoping to re-establish his form in the Spanish la liga in
other to make the Ghana team for the AFCON 2015.
The move means
the former Ghana under 20 star has returned to a league he once played in following
his two year stint with Gatefe from 2009-2011.
