FRED BENSON INSPIRES PEC ZWELLO TO DUTCH CUP SEMIS AFTER DEFEATING AJAX 5-1




Ghanaian striker Fred Benson on Sunday afternoon inspired his side PEC Zwello to the next round of the Dutch Cup after thumping giants Ajax 5-1 at the De Kuip Stadion.

The 27 year old who sat on the bench for his side could not get any min of time in the game but was one of the happiest after the final whistle from the referee.

Ajax shot themselves in front in the 3rd min before PEC striker Ryan Thomas got two quick goals in the 8th and 12th min respectively to put his side into the lead. Midfielder Gyon Fernandez go two goal before the first half ended as his scored in the 22nd and 34th min.

 Dutch international Bram Van Polen put the icing on the cake in the 50th min when he scored his side 5th goal to ensure they mortified the defending champions by a 5-1 score line to book their place in the semi final round of the Dutch Cup.
