HEARTS FANS THREATEN TO BOYCOTT TEAM’S LEAGUE GAME




A section of Hearts of Oak fans in the Brong Ahafo are threatening to boycott the team’s  week 25 league fixture with Berekum Chelsea on Wednesday April 16 . SPORTS LOUNGE can confirm.

The Phobians who have been meager in form especially after recent defeats to Liberty and Hearts of Lions travel to face the blues at the Golding City Park in Berekum.

In an interview with the acting deputy PRO of the Regional chapters committee, Abanga Phobia, he stated that they the supporters in the Brong Ahafo are planning to go on an embargo during their game with Chelsea.

“We hearts supporters here in the Brong Ahafo rally behind the team anytime they come to the here. We pay for their hotel bills as well as guide them to train and take them to their match venue and go and give our support to the team before they win”. He said.

“And we are saying we are not going to do all those things again this time around till they sack Mohammed Polo and Niel Armstrong. That is what we are saying. Niel and Polo are failures”. 

“Now Hearts fans here are dying. As am speaking now one gentleman called Opoku Afriyie in the Ahafo Ano North district is dead”.

“He got a Heart attack after the team lost to Liberty in Dansoman. So am even in mourning clothes. So all we are saying is till they remove Niel and Polo we are not going to support the team here in the Brong Ahofo”.

The Rainbow Club who dropped to third position on the table after losing 1-2 to Hearts of Lions at home on Sunday are now 12 point adrift league leaders and sworn rivals Asante Kotoko with six games to go in the ongoing first capital plus premier league.
