FORMER NATIONAL TABLE TENNIS STAR URGES FOR MORE INTERNATONAL COMPETITIONS




Former national tennis star Eric Addo believes that playing some international competitions before the Commonwealth games in July will boost for a better performance.

In an interview, the former Ghanaian international mentioned that that current players in the national team must be exposed to international competitions ahead of the games in Scotland later this year.

 Addo who represented Ghana in the All African games in Nigeria and the Commonwealth games in Australia noted that handlers of the team must prepare the team so that the team can compete in minor Championships before the before the main commonwealth games.

“We have never been to any international competition and without that there is no way they can go to the Commonwealth games and conquer .You have to remember they  have got world Championship on the line and if they  go and do not bring back any medal are able we will  that they have gone to make an impact”. He said.

“ Even if they go and not bring back any medal they can learn something and when they come back and go to the commonwealth games they can do well, but for now if you ask me at this stage I will say no no”. He added.
The national table tennis team are preparing for the upcoming Common Wealth games.
