ABSENCE OF TRIO WILL NOT AFFECT THE TEAM-MAXWELL KONADU

Head Coach of the Local Black Stars, Maxwell Konadu says the absence of trio, Yahaya Mohammed, Sulley Mohammed and Theophilous Annobah will not affect the team.
In  an interview, The former Asante Kotoko coach said “Is not going to worry the team. We have a lot of players. If one is not there, the others can also compete. We have equally good players”. He said.
Yahaya Mohammed who scored Ghana’s goal against Libya is out of the final group game due to suspension. While reports indicates that Sulley and Annobah could also miss the game due to an injury they sustained in the game against Libya.
Meanwhile Maxwell Konadu can also rely on players like Saidu Bancey, Latif Mohammed and Aseidu Attobrah as good replacement for the trio.
Ghana lie second in group C with 4 points, same points as Libya who lie on top but only on a better goal difference.
Ghana will need a win or draw to advance into the next stage of the competition.
