The
weekend saw many Ghanaian players play for their respective clubs in Europe.
Christian Atsu and Emmanuel Agyemang Badu were the only Ghanaians on target for
the clubs.

are full complement of how Ghanaian players fared abroad:
ENGLAND
In
the English Premier League, Michael
Essien could not make the Chelsea bench as the blues beat rivals Manchester
United 3-1 at Stamford Bridge. Derrick
Boateng continues to be under the perking order at Fulham as he did not
make the Fulham team that lost at the Emirates 2-0 to Arsenal. Fellow Ghanaian Emmanuel Frimpong as usual did not make
the Gunners team. In the Championship, youngster Jeffery Schullp was missing in action when Leicester City managed
to scoop a 1-0 win over Leeds away from home. Albert Adomah was
missing in action for the first time as Middelsbrough beat Charlton Athletic by 1-0 at home.
SPAIN
Former
under 20 forward Richmond Boakye Yiadom came
on in the 76th min for Elche and help them to secure a 2-0 win over
Rayo Vellecano.
ITALY
In
the Seria A, Alfred Duncan tasted
the first 45min for Livorno who lost 3-0 to AS Roma at the Stadio Olympico. Extravagant
midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah was
substituted in the 80th min when Juventus beat Sampdoria 4-2 in
Turin. Still in Italy Liverpool bound Emmanuel
Agyemang Badu scored a superb volley in the 68th min for Udinese but could not
help his side avoid defeat at home as they lost 2-3 at home to Lazio. On loan
AC Milan forward Kingsley Boateng
was an unused substitute when Catania lost 3-0 at home to Fiorentina. Rahman Chibsah played full throttle as Sassoulo lost 2-0 at
home to Torino. Isaac Cofie was not
included in the Genoa team who managed a 1-0 win over Inter Milan at home. Both
Acosty Boadu-Maxwell and Afriyie Acquah were part of the Chievo
Verona and Parma match day squads respectively but the former could not make a
taste of the game with the latter coming on 4 min from time for Parma. Sulley Muntari was out of Milan team
due to suspension as Milan beat Verona 1-0 at the San Siro.
FRANCE
Harved
Ranard handed new signing Jordan Ayew
his first start since joining on loan from Marsille but the 22 year old after
81min of action could not find the back of the net for Souchaux who lost 2-0 to
Montipellier in front of their fans. Black Stars defender John Boye was not part of the Rennes team who drew 0-0 at home with
Evian Thonan Gillard. Fellow Black Stars defender Jonathan Mensah played 90min for Evion.
NETHERLANDS
In
the Eredivision, Ghana wonder kid Christian
Atsu scored his second goal of the season for Vitessi as they managed a
slim 2-1 win over PEC Zwolle. The black stars player played the entire game for
Vitessi. Ghanaian born Dutch Mawouna
Kodjo Amevor who is on loan from Ajax came on to play the last 3min for Go
Ahead Eagles who lost 2-0 at Cambuur Leeuwarden. Elvis Manu played 90 min for Cambuur Leewarden.
BELGIUM
In
the Belgian Pro League, Ghana defender Daniel
Opare got injured in the 37th min and was substituted as
Standard Liege beat KV Oostende 2-0. Bernard
Yao Kumordzi played 90 min for KAA
Gent who also lost 0-1 at home to KV Kortrijk. Elsewhere, former under 17 and
20 midfielder Enoch Adu Kofi warmed
the bench as Club Brugge secured a point at Liese when the game ended in a 1-1
draw. Nana Kwasi Asare also saw full
action for Racing Genk.
SOUTH AFRICA
It
was the same old story for Ghana goalkeeper Abdul Fatawu Dauda as he was not included in Pirates match day
squad who lost 1-2 at home to Supersports United. Supersports Ghanaian captain Edwin Gyimah got injured and was
substituted at the early stages of the game.
