Management
board member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Aziz Haruna Futa has described the
current Hearts of Oak board as the worse ever
in the clubs history.
In
an interview with Peace fm, an Accra based radio station, the former Chapter O
Chairman made the comment on the grounds stating that former coach Duncan was
sacked from the team without any reason.
Just
two months ago, the management of Accra Hearts of Oak announced the sacking of
Coach David Duncan which till now has raised much augment between Hearts of Oak fans and the Board.
According
to the GFA Status Committee ruling after two sittings, Hearts of Oak is
expected to pay the penalty of GH¢86,500 for Duncan’s dismissal before January 23rd but the 2000
CAF Champions League
winners are set to appeal the punishment. Hearts will also be required to pay
another penalty of GH¢5,000 for the failure of Hearts lawyers to attend
one of the scheduled hearings .
Duncan
dragged Hearts of Oak to the GFA Status Committee after handing in a complaint
that he was not given prior notice
by the Phobians before his contract with the Rainbow club was terminated, and
Aziz believes the decision taking by the board was abysmal.
