Ex-
Black Stars coach Emmanuel Kwasi Afranie has rated local Black Stars goalkeeper Stephen Adams very high.
His
comment came after the Aduana Stars shot stopper put up an impressive
performance for the Stars in their game against Nigeria on Wednesday night in
the semi finals at the Free State Stadium.
“He(Stephen
Adams) is a very wonderful goalkeeper.
To me, I will give him all the credit for Ghana’s qualification to the finals
all though the whole team did a very good job. But he stands tall. He kept
Ghana in the game especially with the last minute save he made that ensured the
game traveled to penalty shoot outs”.
“
He again made a wonderful save during the penalty shoot out. Even with injury
he still kept the post and did very well. To me, he was my man of the match”.
The Veteran coach spoke exclusively to SPORTS LOUNGE.
Ghana
beat Nigeria 4-1 on penalties to advance to the finals of the CHAN tournament
and will face Libya on Saturday.
