LIBYA HOLD GHANA TO A 1-1 DRAW

The Local Black Stars today were held to a 1-1 drawn game by Libya in their 2^nd group tie in the ongoing CHAN Competition in South Africa.

Ghana who started the first half on the a very bright note put themselves infront after just 6min of play with a powerful header from forward Yahaya Mohammed. After dominating the first 45min Ghana finished the first half with a 1-0 lead.

Back from recess, Ghana could not hold on to the lead as Libya grabbed the equalizer from the penalty spot in the 73^rd minute through Faisal Ali after Local Black Stars defender Nuru Sulley was yellow carded for bringing down a Libyan player in the 18-yard box.

Ghana now lie 2^nd on the table with 4 points, same points with Libya who are first on the table.

The Black Stars will now face Ethiopia in the final group game on Tuesday 21^st January at the Free State Stadium.
