Princesses midfielder Priscilla Okyere has confidently said that the Black
Princesses will triumph over Equatorial Guinea come tommorow.
The
national under 20 female team in face their counterparts from Equatorial Guinea
and the 18 year old former Maidens skipper said they are very confident they
will secure a win over the Equatoguineans.
“
We are confident we will win in Malabo. Yes we know they are one of the best in
women football in Africa but we are also well known in Africa”.
“They
will be coming in very strong at us considering the fact that Maidens went to
beat them some few months ago but this is a different game all together”.
“
The Black Stars have qualified to the World Cup. Maidens have also qualified to
the World Cup, so thye mantle is now on us to qualify us well”. Okyere said in
an interview at the Kotoko International Airport.
The
Black Princesses are looking forward to a third successive World Cup appearance
after previous appearances in Germany and Japann in 2010 and 2012 respectively.
Winners
of the two league encounter will automatically qualify to this year’s women
under 20 World Cup in Canada.
