BOYE TARGETS STARTING ROLE AT WORLD CUP




Expected Ghana World Cup debutant John Boye says he is targeting a starting role in the Black Stars team at the World Cup in Brazil. 

According to the 26 year old who is currently with the team at their camping base in Arhiem[Netherlands], he is working hard and also trying to adhere to Coach Kwasi Appiah’s instructions in other to earn a starting role in the Ghanaian tactician’s set up.

“Am still fighting for a starting role because if you don’t listen to the coach or you don’t do what he wants you to do, I don’t think that you will play. So you have to be ready and keep on working hard so that anything he tells you to do you can do it”, he said to Power fm just before the teams departure at the Kotoko International Airport.

Boye, who have been an integral member of the squad in the last two years, played a crucial role in Ghana’s qualification to the World Cup. The Stade Rennes defender who will be making his maiden appearance at the World Cup is expected to mount the Ghana defense at the Mundial.
