Christian Atsu Twusam has tipped the World Cup as the biggest platform he will
like to play.
The 22 year
old swift winger who is on the verge of making a first World Cup appearance
with the Black Stars revealed in an interview with GFA TV, stating the World Cup
as the biggest ever stage he will like to play in his football career.
“The world
cup is where every player wants to play especially upcoming players like me
.And that is the biggest stage I want to play. It will be a nice experience
playing at the World Cup”, the former FC Porto player stated.
Astu who was
transferred from English giants Chelsea to Dutch side Vitessi Arhiem on loan
prior to the start of the 2013/2014 season have been instrumental ever since
joining the black and yellow’s and have managed 4 league goals and 8 assist for
the Vitas.
The
playmaker who bears the name “Messi” by his Black Stars team mates will be
hoping to make Kwasi Appiah’s squad when the Ghanaian tactician name his 30 man
provisional squad on May 13.
