After
finding a place in Coach Kwasi Appiah’s 26 provisional man squad, defender
Jeffery Schlupp has reacted by holding high sanguinity of making the final cut
to Brazil.
The 21 year
old Leicester City left back who have managed just one cap for the Black Stars
was selected based on his inspiring performance with the Foxes this season and
managing to help them gain promotion to the English Premier League.
The burly
lateral defender has therefore uttered positive of making the squad to the Copa
Mundail.
“Just like to thank everyone for all the
lovely messages. Looking forward to meeting up with the team and to hopefully
make the 23 man squad!”, he tweeted.
Schlupp was
a surprise inclusion in Ghana’s provisional World Cup squad which was named on
Monday May 15. The striker turned defender has been tipped by many to be the
solution of Ghana’s left back problem over the past years. The former Brentford
player will be hoping to make an impression at the World’s biggest football
event in Brazil next month if he manages to make the Ghana team.
