AGNES ADUAKO VOWS GHANA WILL TRIUMPH OVER BURKINA

Black Queens striker Agnes Aduako has vowed the Black Queens will beat their Burkina-be counterparts come Saturday in Ouagadougou when they come face to face in the first league qualifier for the 2014 African women championships.

Ghana who failed to make it to the Championship for the first time 2years ago in Equatorial Guinea after they were eliminated by Cameroon on penalties in the final qualifier will be seeking a positive away result against Coach Adama Dembele’s side to make the reverse encounter in Accra on weekend of February 28th and March 2nd a mere formality.

But the 24 year old Fabulous Ladies striker believes she and her team mates will cause an upset to the “Mares” at their own backyard.

“We are very confident we will overcome them at their own backyard. Although we don’t know much about them, we still think we can beat them”.

“Playing with a team you know nothing about is a little bit difficult but yet still with the sort of training and motivation giving to us by our coaches we think we can overcome them”. She said in interview with SPORTS LOUNGE at the Kotoka international airport just before the team flew to Ouagadougou on Wednesday afternoon.

The game is expected to take place at the Stade Du Aout in Ouagadougou at exactly 4:00pm local time.
