EVANS ADOTEY NOT UNDER PRESSURE

Head Coach of the national under 17 female team (Black Maiden), Evans Adotey says he is not under pressure to emulate what his Predecessor did two years ago.

The Black Maidens chalked third place in the 2012 women World cup in Azerbaijan after beating Germany 1-0 in the third place match making them the first ever African team to take 3rd position at the World cup, But the 49 year  old who was the Assistant coach now the Head coach of the side says he is not under any pressure to emulate what his predecessor Mas Ud-Didi Dramani did.

He told SPORTS LOUNGE “I know people will be thinking there is a lot of pressure on me to at least reach the semi finals like we did 2 years ago. But am not under any pressure. For now I am preparing the team. We will make sure we come out of the group first and then take it from there”. He told SPORTS LOUNGE just after the 2-1 friendly lost to Nigeria at the Accra Sports stadium on Sunday.

Ghana finished 3rd two years ago in Azerbaijan after beating Germany in the third place match. The black maidens are drawn in a very though group North Korea, Germany and Canada.

The under 17 women World cup will take place in March this year.
