Dwarfs PRO, Paul Adjetey says the team underrated fellow premier League
counterparts New Edubiase in their outstanding League fixture which came as a
results of their 2-1 lost to the Bekwai based side.
Dwarfs
had gone into the game confidently after their exploits in Africa few days ago
when they managed a 0-0 drawn with Senegalese side Le Jaraaf in Dakar to book
their place to next round of the CAF Confederation cup.
After
scoring an early goal through striker Richard Gadze, Edubiase came back to
defeat the abontuabontua boys by 2 goals to 1 to clinch all three points at the
Cape Coast Robert Mensah Sports Stadium. But spokes person of the Club, Paul
Adjetey has blamed the lost to their complacency and underrating their
opponent.
“
We went to pull a surprise in Dakar. And so everyone was expecting us to pull a
surprise once again. But it didn’t happen that way. What I will say is that yesterdays
defeat was due to over complacency, all because we underrated our opponents
expecially looking at our international prioress over the few weeks”. But yet
still we knew it was going to be a difficult game”. He spoke with Montie fm.
