Ghanaian
duo Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari on Sunday afternoon helped AC Milan
secure a vital 2-0 away win over Sampdoria at the Comunale Luigi Ferraris.
Milan
coach Clarence Seedorf named Muntari in his starting eleven. The 28 year old was
however booked in the 63rd min and was taken out for fellow country
man Micheal Essien in the 64th min.
Milan
Moroccan international Adel Taarabt broke the deadlock just 12 min into the
game before French defender Adil Rami added the second in the 58th
min to ensure the Rosseneri went home with all 3 points.
The
vital win however keep Milan at 9th position on the table with 35
points in 25 games. Milan’s next fixture will be at home against league leaders
Juventus at the Giuseppe Meazza.
Both
Ghanaian players made a mark in the game.
