ESSIEN AND MUNTARI HELP MILAN SECURE VITAL WIN SERIA A

Ghanaian duo Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari on Sunday afternoon helped AC Milan secure a vital 2-0 away win over Sampdoria at the Comunale Luigi Ferraris.

Milan coach Clarence Seedorf named Muntari in his starting eleven. The 28 year old was however booked in the 63^rd min and was taken out for fellow country man Micheal Essien in the 64^th min.

Milan Moroccan international Adel Taarabt broke the deadlock just 12 min into the game before French defender Adil Rami added the second in the 58^th min to ensure the Rosseneri went home with all 3 points.

The vital win however keep Milan at 9^th position on the table with 35 points in 25 games. Milan’s next fixture will be at home against league leaders Juventus at the Giuseppe Meazza.

Both Ghanaian players made a mark in the game.
