KOTOKO TO SUSPEND YAHAYA MOHAMMED

Former Chairman of the Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s African campaign team , Alhaji Lamin has revealed that the club will suspend striker Yahaya Mohammed after the player signed a pre-contract with Libyan outfit Al Ittihad few days ago without the notice of club officials.

Mr. Lamin revealed in an interview with Power fm sports that the 26year old  signed the contract without the knowledge of any official of the team, as no one was aware of Yahaya’s signing for the Tripoli club.

“ No one knew about it. He was not taken to Monrovia because he was not fit. We came back and we did not know his where about, later we heard he was in Libya signing for a club”.

“He has gone beyond the boundaries of the club and we will suspend him for that. Management is still taking a decision and as soon as he is back he will be suspended”. The management member told Power 103.5 fm Sports.

Yahaya was not part of the Kotoko team that  lost 0-1 to Liberia side Barrack Young controllers (BYC) on Sunday due to an injury he surfed while playing for the local Black Stars at the CHAN tournament.
