KOTOKO BEAT FIRST KLASS FC TO ADVANCE TO ROUND OF 16




Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday afternoon beat first division side First Klass FC 3-0 to advance to the round of 16 of the MTN FA cup.

Head coach Mas Ud Didi Dramani  went into the game using two of his new signings in the starting line up. Both Isaac Boakye and Rahim Ayew started for the porcupine wrriors.

Kotoko’s Issah Yakubu opened the scoring just at the stroke of half time after receiving a perfect through pass from Isaac Boakye to slot home from close range to ensure host went into the break with a 1 goal lead advantage.

Back from half time the Kumasi lads poured more men up front as they piled on more pressure on the division one side, and in the 64th min new signing Isaac Boakye got the 2nd goal for his side after controlling a pass from Abdul Aziz and calmly placing it past the goalkeeper to register the second goal.

Substitute Aminu Mohammed put the icing on the cake when he got the 3rd and final goal for the porcupine warriors 2 minutes from time to ensure Kotoko advance to the next round of this year’s MTN FA Cup.
