25 BLACK QUEENS PLAYERS INVITED TO BEGIN PREPARATION AHEAD OF AFRICAN WOMEN CHAMPIONS




Head Coach Yusif Basigi has invited 25 players to begin preparation ahead of the 2014 African Women Champions in Namibia.

The invited players are expected to turn up at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Tuesday, June 29 at exactly 4:00pm.

The Queens who will be making their ninth appearance at the African Women’s championships are tired up in what many describe as a “group of death” with South Africa
, Cameroon and Algeria in Group B

Invited players:

Nana Ama Asantewaa, Fafali Dumehasi, Mary Berko, Faiza Ibrahim, Mary Baidoo (Police) Diana Ankomah, Patricia Mantey, Rosemary Ampem, Leticia Zikpi (Immigration) Agnes Quaye, Portia Boakye (Fabulous Ladies) Janet Egyir, Agnes Aduako, Samira Suleman, Linda Eshun, Elizabeth Cudjoe (Hasaacas Ladies) Juliet Acheampong (Ashtown Ladies) Cynthia Adobea, Mercy Myles, Grace Asare (Reformers Ladies) Hillia kobblah (Ghana Air Force) Margaret Otoo (Lady Strikers) Nancy Coleman, Mary Essiful (Intellectuals) Elizabeth Addo (Nigeria-based).

The 2014 African Women’s Championships kicks off from the 11-24 October 2014. Ghana failed to compete in the last edition held in Equatorial Guinea.
