BLACK PRINCESSES ARRIVE IN CANADA TO BEGIN TRAINING TOUR AHEAD OF WORLD CUP.




The Black Princesses of Ghana have arrived in Canada to begin their training tour ahead of the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup which kicks off from August 5-24th.

The team which was made up of 23 players and officials touched down at the Canadian capital Toronto on Saturday.

Ghana booked her ticket to this year’s competition after eliminating Equatorial Guinea on penalties following a 1-1 aggregate score line in both leagues.

The Princesses will be aiming to make an impression this time around at the World Cup after failing to earn a point in the last edition which was held in Japan.

The team is said to take on some clubs and collages in warm up games before the tournament kicks start on August 5.

Ghana finds itself in a tricky group made up of host Canada, Finland and 2008 finalist North Korea who also won the competition 2006.

The Princesses begins their campaign with host Canada on the 5th of August at the BMO field in Toronto before taking on North Korea on the 8th at the same venue. And then travel to Montcon to face Finland on the 12th.

Team  captain Beatrice Sesu, Linda Addae and Regina Antwi who represented Ghana 2 years ago failed to make the trip through injury.
