Ghanaian international Kevin-Prince Boateng has taken to
twitter to congratulate World Champions Germany for winning the 2014 FIFA World
Cup tournament.
The Die Manchaaft won the World Cup for the first time in
24 years after beating Argentina by 1-0 in the finals of the 2014 FIFA World
Cup in Brazil. A win which makes them the first European country to have won
the World Cup on South American soil.
Boateng, who holds a German passport and has represented
Germany at junior level, took to twitter to congratulate his country of birth
[Germany].
“Congrats to Germany, the best team won the tournament”,
the Berlin-born Posted on his official twitter page @KPBOfficial.
The 27-year old in 2010 took the decision to represent his
father country [Ghana] at international level after being ignored by the German
national team. With his younger brother Jerome opting to play for the East European
nation.
The former AC Milan man played for the Black Stars at the
2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cup. The Schalke O4 star player is now facing an
indefinite suspension by the Ghana FA after he was alleged to have assaulted
Black Stars head Coach Kwasi Appiah during the team’s participation at the Copa Mundial in Brazil.
