JERRY ASARE TO BE LAID TO REST ON SATURDAY JULY 27.

Former board member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Jerry Asare will be laid to rest on Saturday July 27. SPORTS LOUNGE has gathered.

The ex-kotoko top official who passed-on few months ago was reported to have been battling with what was believed to be cancer.

Jerry Asare who is affectionately referred to as “show show” by Kotoko fans according to reports will be laid to rest at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The astute business tycoon carved a big name for himself when he masterminded one of the most dramatic phenomena to have occurred in modern-day football after leading players of Asante Kotoko to boycott a top 4 match against Hearts of Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium in 2005. A scene which was dubbed by Ghanaian football fans as “Yemo Biom” [We won’t play again].

The dying-hard Porcupine member left a legacy in the Kumapem dynasty and will be remembered by Kotoko fans for his hard work and dedication to the Kotoko fraternity.
