TWO PLAYERS DROPPED FROM PRINCESSES SQUAD AS BASHIRU HAYFORD NAMES FINAL 21 “MAN” SQUAD



Defender  Linda Smith and striker Theresa Ackon-Cobbinah have been dropped from the Black Princesses squad after head coach Bahiru Hayford named his final 21-“man”  squad for the  FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup which will be played in Canada.

Bashiru Hayford named his squad based on the three friendly games played as part of the team’s preparation to the tournament which saw every member of the team feature in all three games.

Linda Smith, a player of Lady Strikers and Theresa Ackon who plays for Bafana Ladies are therefore expected to return to the country before the tournament kick starts on August 5.

Ghana opens her campaign with host Canada on August 5 at the National Soccer Stadium in Toronto before taking on Korea DPR at the same venue on August 12 and completes their group games with Finland at the Moncton stadium on August 12.
