GEORGE OWU DEMAND 60,000 GH CEDIS FROM HASAACAS FOR CONTRACT EXTENSION




Reports in the media indicates that Hasaacas goalkeeper George Owu has asked officials of the Club to offer him 60,000 Ghana cedis to renew his contract with the Sekondi-based side.

The 32-year old who joined Hasaacas two seasons ago from Ebusua Dwarfs is yet to extend his contract after his deal run out at the end of the 2013/14 season.

Coach Yusif Basigi is eager to keep the veteran goalkeeper after helping his side finish seventh in the 2013/14 First Capital plus Premier League.

The former Asante Kotoko, Ashanti Gold and El-Masry shot-stopper helped Hasaacas gain promotion back to the domestic top-flight last season after three years stay in division one.

Owu, was a member of the Ghana Olympic team [Black Meteors] that participated in the 2004 Olympics games in Athens [Greece] and was the third choice goalkeeper for the Black Stars at the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
