Wa All Stars
on Thursday afternoon astounded Medeama SC in their outstanding league game at
the Wa Park.
Worn out Medeama
who returned from Zambia on Monday after sealing qualification to the next
round of the CAF Confederation cup to take on the Wa based side were unable to
contain their premier league counterparts in a game which clearly showed the Yellow
and Mauves exhaustiveness.
Former
Asante Kotoko forward Micheal Mensah broke the dead lock in the 58th
min before impressive Paul Asare De-Vries sealed victory for the Wa lads when
he banked in the second for his side in the 70th min to ensure Wa
All Stars took all three points.
The win for
All Stars pushes them to 8th on the table with 30 points while
Medeama maintain their 6th position with 32 points.
All Stars
play Amidaus in match day 24 of the first capital plus premier league on Sunday
while Medeama take on King Faisal at the Takwa and Aboso Park.
