HEARTS FALL IN SECONDI AS THEY LOSE 3-0 TO HASACCAS

Accra Hearts of Oak lost their 10th game of the season when they were crushed 3-0 by Secondi Hasaccas at the Essipong Stadium in Secondi on Wednesday afternoon.

Hasaccas who have been in tremendous form under coach Yusif Basigi in the second round  were eager to overcome a 2-1 defeat they suffered in the first round against Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Hasaccas top man Samuel Afful opened the scoring just 13th  min into the game before adding his second 10 min later to end the first half 2-0 in favor of the “Do Boys”.

Back from recess, the Phobians looked dangerous upfront as they pushed forward in search of the equalizer. But left back Augustine Ahinful finally got the Western Giants their third goal 8min to end proceedings to earn themselves a vital three points at their favorite grounds.

The win pushes Hasaccas to the 4th position with 39 points. Hearts of Oak on the other hand lie second with 41 points and are still fighting for a Champions league spot.
