General Manager of Asante Kotoko, Opoku Nti has revealed the Club’s intention
to extend head coach Mas-Ud-Didi Dramani’s contract after the astute tacticians
contract expires in June.
But Opoku Nti told Accra based Power FM that the club will definitely renew the contract of the former Black Maidens coach.
“Talks is on-going, Mas-Ud wants to stay with Kotoko so there is no problem at all. I think Mas-Ud will stay and his contract will continue [sic]”, he said.
Dramani was signed by the porcupine warriors in 2012 after guiding the national under 17 female team, the Black Maidens to clinch bronze at the 2012 FIFA women under 17 World Cup in Azerbaijan.
Meanwhile, Opoku Nti says the Club is close to renew the contracts of some of its players who have their contract expiring at the club. Seven of the team’s players have their contracts running out at the club and are yet to renew their contracts but Opoku Nti says they are already negotiating terms with the players.
“We are on it. We are talking to them behind closed doors we are talking about their contract,” he said.
Kotoko will be hoping to keep its best players come next season in other to continue their dominance in the domestic top flight.
