HELEGBE PROMISE UPSET OVER LEOPARDS IN CONGO





Medeama SC midfielder Micheal Helegbe has expressed confident ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup first league play off’s tier with Congolese Champions AC Leopards.
The Mauves take on the 2012 winners of the competition on Sunday April 20 at the Stade Denis Sassou Nguesso far away Congo.

But the 28 year old has promised an upset at the 20,000 capacity stadium come Sunday when they come face to face with the Les Fauves de Niari.

“Yea we have prepared very well. Our officials have done all the necessary things in other to make us happy. We the players also are well focused and we are very determined that we are going to deliver in Congo”, Helegbe spoke to SPORTS LOUNGE at the Kotoko International Airport. 

“We will course an upset in their own back yard because we are really confident ahead of this game. We will get a convincing results in other to make the 2nd league easy for us, so for now as you can see yourself the spirit is very high”, He added.

The Ghanaian giants managed successes over Panthers FC of Equatorial Guinea, Maghreb de Fes and Zesco United of Morocco and Zambia respectively and are confronted with the final hurdle against the former Champions.

AC Leopards were however relegated from the champion’s league by Sudanese Powerhouse Al Hilal.

Medeama can chalk an amazing feat if they progress to the group phase of Africa’s elite Inter-Club Competition.

The team however emplaned to Brazzaville on Tuesday evening.
