Ghana
received a massive World Cup boost over the weekend as duo Andre Ayew and
Jordan Ayew were on the score sheet for their respective clubs.
Andre
started the weekend in style when he scored three times to help Olympic
Marseille cruise to a 3-1 win over AS Ajaccio on Friday night at the Stade
Veladrome.
The hard
working midfielder who has been on the radar of English giants Liverpool and
Arsenal gave Marseille the perfect start they anticipated early in the 3rd
min before netting his second and third in the 60th and 75th
min.
Younger
brother Jordan Ayew came to the party when he scored for Sochaux on Saturday
night in their 2-2 stalemate with Bastia. The 23 year old put his side in front
in the 45th min when he headed in a perfect cross from French man Julien
Faussurier to help his side snatch a point away from home.
The performance of the two brothers leaves Ghana head coach Kwasi Appiah
with some good options ahead of the World Cup.
