Hearts of
Goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy who sustained an ankle injury while mounting the
post for his side in their first capital plus premier league clash with Liberty
professional at the Alhaji Ibrahim Sly Tetteh park is set to make a return in
the next two weeks.
In an
interview with SPORTS LOUNGE,
spokesperson of the club Muheed Sayed revealed that the 29 year old might
return to action in the next two weeks as doctors have indicated.
“Doctors
have brought to our notice that he will return in two weeks’ time. So we are
just waiting for him to come back. We are just praying he recover within the
two weeks the doctors have given us”. He told SPORTS LOUNGE.
McCarthy who
is the deputy skipper of the Rainbow club was stretched off and rushed to the
hospital at the end of the first half of the game against Liberty last Sunday.
The camp of
the Phobians have been hit with an endless injury list this season with the
likes of Goalkeeper Tetteh Lugard, Emmanuel Hayford, Salasie Adjei, Gilbert
Fiamenyo, Moro Abubakar etc have all been sidelined due to injury.
