Ghana’s sole
rep in Africa Medeama SC has been drawn with Congolese Champions FC Leopards in
the final round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The draw
which was made on Tuesday will see the Ghanaian side traveling to Congo on the
weekends of 18-20th April to take on their Congolese counterparts in
the first league and return home to take on the 2012 Champions between the
25-27th of April.
Leopards,
winners of the 2012 CAF Confederation cup were eliminated from the Champion’s
league by Sudanese Champions Al Hilal Omdurman after losing on the away goal
rule. Medeama on the other hand saw off Zambian side ZESCO United on a 2-1
aggregate score to reach the play off’s stage.
The yellow
and mauves who are participating in their maiden edition will be hoping to make
it to the money zone for the first time.
