“POLO DID NOT ASK SUPPORTERS TO ATTACK ANYONE”-MUHEED

The Spokesperson of Accra Hearts of Oak, Muheed Sayed has blushed away reports saying head coach Mohammed Polo instructed Hearts of Oak fans to attack a fellow fan after their 3-1 loss to Liberty at the Alhaji Sly Tetteh park on Sunday Mach 29.

Reports say a fan was severely beaten by another fan after confronting Coach Mohammed Polo and telling him “we will sack you and bring back David Duncan” during the teams departure from the Dansoman park.

But the spokesperson of the club says Polo does not have a hand in that particular incident as speculated.

“Is true a group of Hearts supporters attacked a fellow fan. The gentleman confronted told Polo he would be sacked. But our coach did not make any comment. So it is true he was assaulted by other fans after he had confronted Polo”.

“But it is never true Polo asked supporters to attack him. How can Polo do that? But all the same I perceive is not right for the fans to attack him. All we have to do is to appeal to the Hearts fan and educate them. We are trying get contact of the guy” He told Accra based Happy FM.

The ex Ghana international has won only four times in 11 games as coach of Hearts of Oak - losing four times and drawing three.

The Phobians now face Hearts of Lions on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium and Polo will be expected to get the needed results in other to keep their title hopes alive.
